Something Big Is Coming to Tower Trials
Coming soon · 3 min read
The next Tower Trials update is the biggest one since launch. It's not a balance pass or a bug sweep. It adds a whole new way to play, ten new cards, ten new relics, and a fresh look across nearly every screen. Here's a first look at what's coming.
Endless Tower: no summit
Until now, the Tower always had a top: floor 100, the final boss, the end of the story. Endless Tower takes that ceiling away. It's a new mode next to Story: the same climb without the story scenes, and when you clear floor 100, you just keep going. Past the summit, every boss is drawn at random from the Tower's toughest guardians, and enemies grow stronger with every floor, forever. The only question left is how high you can get.
Endless Tower keeps its own save, its own difficulty levels, and its own level, Shards and card collection, so a climb there never touches your Story run. Your existing Story progress carries over exactly as you left it.
Ten new cards
Two for each archetype, each built around something that archetype already does well. Tunnel Vision rewards the Miner for setting up Vulnerable. Sledge Swing makes every point of Strength count three times. Chain Reaction lets the Tinker set off every fuse on the board at once. Add Festering Wound, Echo Rune and five more, and every build gets a new trick. Most are in the pool from your very first run; a few rarer ones unlock as you climb. Look for the NEW tag in your Collection and the Card Codex.
Ten new relics
Pocket Grit weakens every enemy as a fight begins. Cracked Lens leaves them Vulnerable. Venom Tooth poisons the whole room before you've played a single card. Seven more join them, from a flask that patches you up every turn to a wick that lights a fuse under every enemy. More ways to bend a run toward your build.
A whole new look
New pixel icons for relics, stats, potions and services, and new art throughout the Shop, which is now split into tabs, with a stallkeep behind the counter. New boards and panels, click sounds, and a full 16:9 desktop layout, built for the Steam version that's on its way.
When can you play it?
We're putting the finishing touches on the update right now. It will roll out on iOS and Android as soon as it clears store review, and the first time you launch it, a What's New screen will walk you through everything. Full patch notes will be here on the blog on release day.
This is the biggest step the Tower has taken since launch. Thank you for climbing with us, and get ready to keep going.
