Tower Trials Is Officially Live
Launch day · 2 min read
After months of solo development, Tower Trials is out now on iOS. If you've been following along since the dev diary or the pre-order, thank you — this is the part where it actually becomes a game other people can play, not just something I've been building alone in the dark.
What you're climbing into
You play as Nibs, a goblin scavenger climbing a hundred-floor dwarven tower where something at the summit promises to change what you are — if you survive long enough to reach it. Build your deck floor by floor from five distinct archetypes — Miner, Tinker, Brewer, Runes, and Wall. Commit to one for a powerful synergy engine, or splash between them; no two runs build the same deck.
What's in at launch
- 100 floors across 6 difficulty tiers, normal through Hell
- Five archetypes, each a genuinely different deck
- Permadeath runs, with meta-progression that carries between them
- Common mobs, elite guardians, and unique per-floor bosses
- Free to play — one ad per floor cleared or on death, and a single $1.99 purchase that turns ads off forever
Some early, unexpected validation
Pocket Gamer covered the game ahead of launch — I didn't pitch it or submit it anywhere, it just showed up. For a solo dev's first release, that's not a thing I expected to happen this early, and it's stuck with me all week.
What's next
Android arrives on Google Play October 15, 2026. Beyond that, I'm already working on a full landscape-redesigned Steam/desktop port, plus deeper content for the tower itself. This is the starting line, not the finish line.
